Summary
The CALMD project aimed to empower adults with intellectual disabilities, supporting their social integration and independent living. By addressing the challenges these individuals face, the project sought to provide tailored support, helping them develop personal, professional, and social autonomy. Utilizing applied psychology, career orientation, coaching, and gamification, CALMD created accessible, user-friendly resources to help individuals with mental disabilities plan their personal and professional futures. The project developed a comprehensive methodology and training materials for practitioners, an innovative supportive toolbox, a MOOC platform with therapeutic content, and engaging educational board games. Ultimately, the project aimed to enhance the independence and social inclusion of 50 adults with mental disabilities and train 50 practitioners across five partner organizations.
