Summary
ECO-CENT is a European project focused on promoting circular economy practices within businesses and vocational education and training (VET). It supports entrepreneurs and VET providers by offering training and resources on integrating sustainability, upcycling, and resource efficiency into business models. The project fosters innovation in VET, equipping educators with the skills to address the growing demand for green economy professionals.
The project developed a comprehensive business modelling curriculum, an innovation framework for VET, and an in-service training program for VET trainers. It also launched a MOOC and community of practice to facilitate ongoing collaboration and knowledge exchange among business owners, VET providers, and policy makers. These activities aim to create a sustainable ecosystem of businesses and education providers working together to drive the circular economy.
